Music Magazine

For my front cover i intend to move the masthead on the left hand side of the page.

  1. I like the images although i think you should reconsider using the same model on each page. Some writing on the front page is slighlty hard to read, especially the black font at the bottom. Your DPS is very clearly made up. The columns give it good structure.

  2. i like your magazine! i love the way youve used yellow to catch attention! i think it also contrasts well with the blue, but maybe if it was a blue which was slightly more visible on the jumper bit, it'll look extra wicked! i think maybe if you change where you have written your price to be on top of the bbm barcode thingy? :)

  3. Firstly, I'd like to say I really like your front cover, it's very vibrant and busy, it looks great. Some things to consider: It may be better to put your masthead on the left side, as this adheres to the 'lower left third', if you are afraid this will compromise to much of the text, try 'flipping' the main image on photoshop; you can do this by press CTRL + T on the main image layer, right clicking and selecting 'flip horizontal'. Your colour scheme, though good, may be worth changing as it's very similiar to your model's clothing colour, making it a little difficult to read. It may be worth making a distinction between your coverlines and your maincoverline, it's as they are seperated around the cover, it makes it a little difficult to figure out what's what, though it's great that you increased the font size, as it that does help to add that distinction.

Your contents page is very cool, your photography is awesome--you may want to add page numbers though. One minor thing to look at is perhaps making a little more distinction between your titles and your descriptions? It'll just be more aestheically pleasing and easier to find what's where as it's a contents page.

Out of all your pieces, I love your DPS, it looks very professional. Maybe you can make your pull quote a little larger?

    Great job!
